More DescriptionI must confess to a little secret about this book. Yes, it is a thorough introduction to covenant theology, but it is as well a self-help book for Christians as covenant theology applied. There are few things so precious and needful for a believer as rock-solid assurance of salvation, a faithful and obedient walk in sanctification, and perseverance in these to the end. These fruits of the Spirit are perhaps best developed and nurtured through the study of God's covenants, by which he reveals himself and his will to his people and effects his glorious plan of salvation.I did not write this book for the academy or seminary but for lay people and church leaders, who may not have the benefit of a seminary education. Longer chapters are divided into smaller sections, making this book a very suitable guide for self-study, small groups, or Sunday school. "God's Watermelon: His Purpose, Plan, & Providence" emphasizes the treasures to be found in the covenants for personal growth and practical application in the life of every believer. May the Lord bless it to you in your studies and to his glory.
