About the book content:
In "Bonn von oben" Leo tells the story. It's mum's birthday and she gets a special birthday gift this year: a trip on a hot air balloon. Leo and his family get to see Bonn from a bird's eye view and even witness a burglary.
About the author and the genesis of the book series:
Jacqueline Woche has many years of international experience as a teacher of German as a foreign language teaching both children and adults at various intercultural learning institutions in Germany and abroad. Again and again she noticed the challenge for her students to learn articles and endings. The author therefore created colored texts and accompanying illustrations in watercolor, which promote learning and focus on the enjoyment of reading. With this series of books, the author realizes what she and her colleagues have always wished for: easy-to-understand, motivating and learning-enhancing reading for boys and girls.
More details about the concept:
The stories contain many words written phonetically, internationalisms and a simple sentence structure. This series of books offers nouns in the article colors that are common in textbooks for German as a foreign language. The article colors can also be found in the pictures in many details and correspond to the color of the noun in the text. Some objects in the pictures have unusual colors, such as the blue tea. They are meant to amuse the children, point to the article and encourage them to playfully imitate this learning technique.
