More Description"All modern American literature is derived from one book by Mark Twain, called Huckleberry Finn."--Ernest Hemingway"Derivatives of Finn" has been published annually by the Avon Writers Group since 2003. Many thanks to all our contributing writers for this year's "Derivatives of Finn." I especially want to thank Jerry Bennett for sharing a chapter of pain that only those who have lost a child will ever fully understand. Jerry is a great friend and is responsible for the production of this journal.I'm also thankful and proud of my grandson Dylan for sharing his poem "Figurative Lifetimes." The Avon Writers Group has published "Derivatives of Finn" since 2003. We are looking for new members and welcome writers of all experience and skill levels. We meet at the Washington Township Public Library in Avon, Indiana on every second Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Somewhere out there is an unwritten poem, memoir, short story or novel that needs loving care and attention. We offer support to help you get it written. There are no dues or bylaws and no officers. We are an informal group, and we only require that you call yourself a writer and mean it. Remember: Everybody has a story to tell with a unique point of view. When you die, that story and point of view will die with you if you don't write it down. Join us! We'd love to have you.R.S.
