Moreover, the cooking methods, flavors and even dish names exemplify our shared history with local and neighboring communities throughout time.The exodus from our homeland has resulted in robust diasporan communities, often established around similar terrains, climates, and availability of ingredients. With migration to the United States in particular, our culinary traditions have served as a lifeline to our collective memory, while making practical use of the conveniences of modern American life. In Seghan, you will find 82 family recipes, flavored with my personal memories of growing up Armenian in America.
