Author Biography
Groene, Gordon (Author)
Born May 6, 1936, in Hudson, New York, Janet Groene is a freelance writer and author of the food column in Family Motor Coaching magazine. She and her husband Gordon H. Groene lived aboard their twenty-nine-foot sailboat for four years, bought a motor home and lived on both for another five years, then wrote about it, collaborating on the book Living Aboard Your Recreation Vehicle (1978, 1993). Other books include Cooking on the Go (1971), The Galley Book (1977), Cooking Aboard Your RV (1993), and 52 Florida Weekends (1996).

Janet Groene is a former editor of Heritage of Vermilion County and a contributing editor to Rudder. She has written numerous articles on boating, camping and aviation. She and her husband now live in central Florida.
