The Antique Collector's Daughter
Have you ever felt so different, that you wondered what was wrong with you? Ever wonder why you didn't quite fit in with crowds or why words of encouragement makes you feel awkward and does the complete opposite of what was intended. As if you felt you needed to do the opposite in order to never receive such praise again? Or how about I ask you this, are you one of those people who doesn't like physical touch such as a simple hug? If you have ever felt any of those, have you ever wondered where it came from? Have you ever considered it could be something from your past life?
Alexia Holt definitely wondered, but never considered that to be an actual possibility. All her life she had felt different and never understood it. For most of her life, she accepted it, it wasn't until her husband committed suicide that she began to question it. After reading a note he had left for her, Alexia wondered if what he had said was true, that she didn't know how to love.
Heartbroken and trying to make sense of it, Alexia goes back to her childhood home in Alexandria, Virginia to find the answers to the questions, "Was he right?", "Was she incapable of love?" And "If she was, then why?" Unbeknownst to Alexia, her journey was just the beginning. For when she goes back to her mother's home, Alexia will also be taken back in time to a past life. Her regression had taken her to a time where the rules and restrictions of the year 1910 forced her into a relationship she wasn't prepared to be in and a love triangle that ended in tragedy. With more questions than answers, Alexia continues in the path of regression to try to find the answers she needs to prove to herself that she was not the reason her husband killed himself. That, she can love someone properly and she isn't cursed.
