Kate's family decided to move south and crossed a mysterious old blue timber-truss covered bridge as it led towards the quaint little town of Buttercup Village, North Carolina.
Four years later was the time of the Jitterbug dances at USO Clubs and people who knew 19 year old Kate said she was too brave for her own good. She becomes a pilot during World War II, joining a Top Secret governmental program for women who fly new military aircraft directly from the assembly lines to U.S. air bases in war zones around the globe. On one of her many adventures she lost her way at sea, was rescued by a submarine, flew her plane off a cliff, and fell in love.
In the cockpit of her B-25 Bomber Plane, Kate flew 12,000 feet above the ocean waves and discovered a mysterious stowaway. The fragrant scent of cinnamon was in the air.
