The Other Side of the Mirror is an art book featuring photographs by Lyn Gaza created between 1981 and 2004. This significant 23-year period covers the beginning of Gaza's image making career from her time at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston during the 1980's, through the hyper creative 90's in San Francisco, before the dominance of the Internet and technology would forever change that city and its cultural DNA. These images explore female identity and self-representation, the mystery and allure of the urban landscape, surrealism and dream imagery, all created during a time when photos were created by light reacting to silver. A stellar group of writers and designers gathered to produce this book, many of whom were collaborators or associates for the creation of the original works. This first edition 112-page hardcover volume was beautifully designed by Rational Beauty and printed by KOPA in Lithuania.
